hehe Manny, in Dutch we're used to double vowels, so we're used to it For Jason: loading time on DM is rather slow for me all the time, compared to the old boards. Will this remain like this or improve? For Corki: Did you lock him up somewhere or something? Would be nice to get at least a few answers by now lol

ok... when people need to go on LOA they need to go, nothing for it. But this only highlights the importance of having backups for those situations.
Cuz' so long as this isn't worked out, a lot of our things are on hold and people lose motivation more and more every day. I know that I haven't been as active for the Hornsounder this month due to all of this.

Thats correct.. You've not even opened the pm i sent you with an incredibly incisive and hilarious article enclosed! at least not according to my outbox. which is bad at tracking those at best. I show unopened ones a lot that have been opened, all the time.

I already explained that to you, Mannylove. When you send a pm to several people it only shows the first one to read it as 'being read'. Jason: another question (I might just get to 72 after all ) The email thing on DM is not very user friendly. Isn't there a way to put the last pm on top instead of below and to put it so that not all the pm's are open on the page but basically use the same system as on the old DM? Not sure if i'm asking this correctly. Otherwise put: it would be much easier to have the pm's listed 'last one on top' and only the one you click would open up. Not have all of them open by definition. Hope that made more sense? dunno..... if not, blame the wind.

So how long is he going to be on LOA? It's rather strange to start this huge move and all and the up and leave...
Would have been nice to get some form of warning how long we'd have to wait here with our thumbs up our....
It's been a month now and DM still isn't working properly, people are being kept waiting on many things, ideas and activities are dropping like flies due to this insecurity, motivation is flying out the window, other sites are being created and looked into as an alternative....
Yeah, I'm annoyed and my patience is up especially now that yet another slap in my face has been given. Low and behold.... the Illuminators have received the go ahead to create a DM-wide newsletter that's almost identical to our Hornsounder. If this doesn't prove beyond a shadow of a doubt the facked up attitude of the DM admins and certain staff members, nothing will. They just càn't stomach others having a great thing going and just hàve to usurp it the moment they get a chance to do so. And no, I'm not just blowing steam out of my rear end. I showed it to several people and asked their thoughts and every single one of them had the same reaction: 'It's almost identical to what HS does'.
Only Matalina being an admin got the aproval stamp of Jason, so I guess that's that.
Knowing that a recent idea that would bring some form of unity and fun to the WT org instead of it just being a collection of splintered groups constantly competiting with each other has recently been cut down by a group of people that holds certain members that keep coming up in every group making decisions either org-wide or dm-wide, there is a definite red line going through all of it. Envy, jealousy, selfish egotistical reasoning, powertripping crap and the pursuit of self importance. Those are the qualities one must have to be part of the ruling counsil at DM.
Thanks a lot, on behalf of the douzains of people who have been working their butts off on the HS for the last 5 months. Once again we are very happy to be appreciated so highly.
And then you wonder why exactly we are so reluctant, even blatently opposed, to have our stuff moved to DM.....

well....the illuminators version probably differ in that people dont have to trawl through loads of band articles to get to their orgs article? and i can see their point....personally if i was reading a newletter by the kin i wouldn;t be remotely interested in any of their stuff i would just be interested in the band and the WT bits as im a member of those orgs.
if you want my advice work with them or ask nicely for them to differ their version slightly. attacking them over it will get you no where, especially considering the bands popularity at DM right now

I'm going to step in here before it turns nasty.
Northie - you've probably haven't read what the Illuminators have suggested. What has been proposed is just like the HS, if not the same. The only difference I can see is that it has Jason's stamp of approval to be the DM Community Newsletter. Also, the other fact is that articles on the ORGs/Divs will be done by Illuminator members - whereas the HS does not, since we have outside members do their articles. Myst can list those for you. But I understand Myst's concerns, views, anger, annoyance at it, as I went through the same feelings when I first came across the idea yesterday.
Myst - just to clarify, Matalina isn't an admin anymore.
