Corki stands before the whole Band in his best dress uniform, with his armour shining brightly in the sunshine, his cloak fluttering in the wind, and Mr. Ed looking pristine, his katana hanging down from his waist. Corki then begins to shout loudly, so all can hear what he has to say. Ladies and Gentlemen of the Band of the Red Hand, whether you are a Raw Recruit or a Captain-General, I am delighted to welcome you here tonight for the second ever awards ceremony that is known as The Matrims. Tonight, we honour those who we think have put a lot into this ORG, this community, making what the Band is today - a close-knit unit of men and women willing to stand beside next each other in a scrap, in a battle, in drinking, in being merry, in life. Great cheering is heard from the assembled Band. Corki raises his hands and the Band quietens. 2006 has been a very successful year for the Band, even if we have had the odd low point during the year. But these are most definitely cancelled out by the highs and jubilations that have occured. The Band is now the 2nd biggest ORG at DM - something I never dreamed that would happen in under 2 years as an ORG. And this goes down to your hard work to make this place what it is - a fun loving group of people. Also, recently, Kath said we were the most organised ORG at DM - a marvelous fact when you consider you are all ruffians! Sadly, we saw many old Banders move on - last year's double Matrim winning Mallett, Cam, Blade to name but a few. But there names will go down in Band lore, and they shall live on in our memories. One day, they will return. So, grab your Brew, and let's raise a toast! To fallen comrades! The Band grab their steins, and raise them in the air, with a load shout of "To fallen comrades!" echoing around the hills. Every Bander takes a swig of their beloved Brew. Corki again raises his arms, and a hush settles over the crowd. It is now time to move onto the awards. Many awards continue from last year, but there are several new ones this year! Awards range from Best Trickster of the Year to Best ORG Member of the Year, from Best Gamer to Best Regimental Member. However, if you haven't won an award, do not fear! In my eyes, you all deserve awards for making the Band of the Red Hand what it is today - a very successful ORG and community within DM. More cheering is heard from the Band. Corki silences the crowd by raising his arms. So, without further a-do, grab your Brews, take your seat and let us begin the awards ceremony! The first award tonight is The Best Trickster of 2006. Which Band member played the best trick, do you think? Who has been summoned before the Redarms the most for their tricks and pranks?? Many names were put forward for this, with special mention for nighteyes and her cakes, for Steel Axe and his general behaviour, for Footman - need we say more?? However, 2 names stood out in your eyes. And as a result, we have a tie for this award! One of the winners isn't with us at the moment, but he will return in a few years time. He had 2 pranks that stood out this year. Firstly, there was the disappearing Tavern from the Cavalry Board. We were all in shock as it kept appearing in different places, wondering where it would turn up next. And then there was the evil man, the Dark One. Who could forget that. These two pranks made this person a worthy joint winner. The second winner is with us, and from the Cavalry Regiment. His main prank was King Midas. Remember all the way back to the early part of 2006 when Lotana was kidnapped by Midas? That was Goldy! He ran the Archers ragged as they tried to rescue their lost member, and then the golden termites came! It was doom and gloom for the Archers! So, you have probably worked out who it is, so I am pleased to announce the joint winners of The Best Trickster of 2006 as... Corki opens an envelope, and pulls out a piece of paper. Blade and Goldeneyes05!!! Loads of cheering is heard from the Band as the 2 Banders make their way to Corki. Corki shakes their hands, gives them their Silver Trophy, their medal and a Mug of Marshal-General's Special Battle Brew.

Once the 2 Banders had collected their awards, Corki raised his arms, and the Band became silent once again.Ladies and Gentlemen, we have but started! Please save yourself for later on! Now, it is time to move onto Best Redarm of 2006, a new award for this year. So, which of the Redarms has given the best punishments? Who has caught the most criminals? Who should the Band be wary of when the Redarms are on the prawl, looking for wrong do-ers? A list of Redarms was given, and from this list, an honourable mention goes to Spacey, for his firm fist on law breakers and Steel Axe, for doing his part in a team of succesful Redarms. However, there was a runaway winner. His name kept appearing - not in one way, but in several. He has taken the Redarms to a new level recently, making them oragnised while also making them into a corrupt regime that Mallett would be so proud of. Nothing escapes him. Every Bander cowers in their bed with him on the beat. Even me, the Marshal-General cannot escape his evil way! Maybe his aim is to spot fine every Bander, so he will go down in Band folklore! Now, maybe I shouldn't have said that! Anyway, you know who it is! Therefore, I am pleased to announce the joint winners of The Best Redarm of 2006 as... Corki opens an envelope, and pulls out a piece of paper. Footman!!!!!! Loads of cheering is heard from the Band as Footman makes his way to Corki. Corki shakes his hand, gives him his Silver Trophy, his medal and a Mug of Marshal-General's Special Battle Brew.

Once Footman has collected his award, the crowd goes silent as the Marshal-General waves his hands. Now, ladies and gentlemen, we move swiftly into the third award, The Best Gamer of 2006. An award given to the Band Member who has fought the hardest and the fairest. A Member who is a valiant fighter, someone who shows all their skill and wits in the arena, whether they win or lose. A person who fights all the way to the end. Before I announce the winner for this award, I want to give some special thanks. Again, I would like to thank Canis and Mallett for all their work on the game in the early stages. More thanks goes to Spacey and Cumadrin as they looked at the Game and tweaked it where they saw problems. Special thanks goes to Peck for giving us the dice roller website after the page experienced problems when Mallett left unexpectedly. Lastly, I want to thank Vorkia and her current team of ORG Game Staff as they work hard to take the Game onto a new and better level. But, due to all these people, we are eternally grateful, as they have made the ORG Game what it is. The Band stands, and gives all those mentioned a warm round of applause. They settle back down for the ceremony to begin again. Now the winner. Corki opens the envelope, and has a peak at the name on the piece of paper inside. Blood and Ashes! Not again! What else can I say about this person?? His posts whenever he plays the Game are hilarious! I remember his epic fight with Blade that they did in Jak O' the Shadows. Truly amazing! Well, without further a-do, the winner of The Best Gamer of 2006 is... Corki has another look at the piece of paper just to check. Footman!!!!!! Loads of cheering is heard from the Band as Footman makes his way to Corki. Corki shakes his hand, gives him his Silver Trophy, his medal and a Mug of Marshal-General's Special Battle Brew.

Once Footman has collected his second award, the crowd goes silent as the Marshal-General waves his hands. Now, ladies and gentlemen, we move onto the Regimental Winners. The winners of each Regiments were voted by Regimental members. The winner of the awards were those Members who were thought to have put a lot of effert into their Regiment, pushing it forward, making the Regiment what it is today. The first Regiment I will deal with is the Archers. Only 3 names were nominated by this strong Regiment, who have enjoyed a very successful 2006. Vorkia, the current Under-Commander, led from the front when Captain-General before taking up her current Senior Staff position. And Cadsuane, who took over the reigns from Vorkia and led the Regiment forward to great times. However, the winner of The Best Archer of 2006 is someone who has been in the Band for over a year now. They have served in many positions in the Regiment, whether it is leading or helping the recruits through their paces with their training. They were also last year's winners, so congratulations for retaining your award! Therefore, the winner of The Best Archer of 2006 is... Corki opens the envelope, looks down at the name on the piece of paper and reads it out load. Leane!!!!! Loads of cheering is heard from the Band as Leane makes her way to Corki. Corki kisses her cheek, gives her her Silver Trophy, her medal and a Mug of Marshal-General's Special Battle Brew.

Once Leane has collected her award, the crowd goes silent as the Marshal-General waves his hands. Now, the second Regiment is the Cavalry. The Cavalry have brought in their Squire and Page system this year, which has been very successful, with many knights joining their ranks and their sects. This brings all their members together, and this is seen in the fun they have in the Regiment. Special mention goes to F Horn of Valere, who set up much for the Regiment when he was Captain-General before taking his position amongst the Senior Staff as the Executive Officer. More mention goes to Goldeneyes05, who is behind most of their fun and games. But all their efforts were not enough to secure the title. No, the winner of The Best Cavalry Member of 2006 is someone who joined us this year, and has been through our successul Raw Recuit scheme. With this knowledge, she has brought many new recruits into the Regiment, whether working with the Recruits or leading the Regiment. She has managed to unite this bunch of crazy horse riding fighters into a fearsome unit! Therefore, the winner of The Best Cavalry Member of 2006 is... Corki pulls out another envelope, and opens it, looking at the name on the sheet of paper inside. Twinflower!!!!! Loads of cheering is heard from the Band as Twinflower makes her way to Corki. Corki kisses her cheek, gives her her Silver Trophy, her medal and a Mug of Marshal-General's Special Battle Brew.

Once Twinflower has collected her award, the crowd goes silent as the Marshal-General waves his hands.Last, and by no means least, the last Regiment is the Infantry. They may be small, but they show their spirit and their heart in everything they do! Many new members have graced their ranks this year, and the oldies still stick around. This makes a pleasant mix in their Taverns and other places to relax, whether it involves brawling, drinking or talking. You can always count on the Infantry for a good time! Members who deserve a mention include Footman (thankfully he isn't winning another award!!!!), Spacey and Duinn, who have all helped the Infantry out with administrative jobs. Special mention goes to Taymist. New to the Band, she has taken on much both within the Band and the Infantry, and is a credit to her Regiment. However, such work wasn't enough for Taymist to win this prestigious award! Instead, the winner of The Best Infantry Member of 2006 falls to someone who was one of our first ever Recruits. Though she may lead a small band of warriors, she always gets the best out of them in whatever needs doing. She is loyal, she is fierce - everything you want from an Infantrywoman. Therefore, I am pleased to announce The Best Infantry Member of 2006 is... Corki opens yet another envelope, and pulls out a piece of paper. Kristine!!!!! Loads of cheering is heard from the Band as Kristine makes her way to Corki. Corki kisses her cheek, gives her her Silver Trophy, her medal and a Mug of Marshal-General's Special Battle Brew.

Once Kristine has collected her award, the crowd goes silent as the Marshal-General waves his hands. Now, it is time to move onto T he Funniest Band Member of 2006. Which Band Member has made you laugh the most? Who always cracks you up with laughter with their posts, whether you are happy or sad? Several Banders get honourable mentions. Well done to Goldeneyes05 and Steel Axe, who always seem to be causing the Cavalry to be in fits of laughter. If you go to the Archers, you will see the love-hate relationship that there is between Cadsuane and Woolhead, and that has caused many of you to laugh. However, the winner of The Funniest Band Member of 2006 is someone who can't stop winning awards. He has made us laugh in many places in the Band, whether it be wearing the Pink Loin Cloth or the simplistic view of life he has, or in the way he gives out punishment. I am just about sick of praising this corrupt person, so The winner of The Funniest Band Member of 2006 is... Corki doesn't bother to open the envelope this time, but throws it to the winner. Footman!!!! Loads of cheering is heard from the Band as Footman makes his way to Corki for his third award. Corki shakes his hand, gives him his Silver Trophy, his medal and a Mug of Marshal-General's Special Battle Brew.

Once Footman has collected his third award, the crowd goes silent as the Marshal-General waves his hands.Just 2 awards left, and these are the big two. First, it is time to announce the winner of the first ever Best Regiment of the Year award. 2006 saw the introduction of the Monthly Regimental Competition to see who is the best Regiment in the Band, since you all brag you are. Over the year, many competitions were run, with each Regiment winning several, as well as winning Regiment of the Quarter. Throughout the year, the quality of the entries has been fantastic, and it has made the job of the Senior Staff a nightmare! We have had many an arguement over who should win! In 3rd place, picking up 22 points, it is the Infantry. A sterling effort! In 2nd place, it is the Cavalry, who gained 29 points. Throughout the year, each Regiment has been on top. However, their teamwork and a streak of 4 straight wins saw this Regiment end up as the first winners of The Best Regiment of the Year with 32 points, and claim bragging rights for the year. However, with a new year beginning, will they be able to maintain such a high standard?? Therefore, the winners of The Best Regiment of 2006 is... Corki opens the envelope and reads out the name on the sheet of paper. Archers!!!! Would Danya, the current Captain-General, like to come and collect the award for her Regiment?? Loads of cheering is heard from the Band as Danya makes her way to Corki. Corki kisses her cheek, gives her her Silver Trophy, her medal and several Kegs of Marshal-General's Special Battle Brew to share amongst her Regiment.

Once Danya has collected the award for her Regiment, the crowd goes silent as the Marshal-General waves his hands. Now, we come onto the last award of all. This is the main award of the evening, of the ORG. This award is for The Best Band Member of 2006. The winner of this award is a Member who has put the most effert into the Band as an ORG, helping it get to its successful position of today. To me, you are all winners of this award, as each Band Member does that, no matter how often they post! Before I announce the winner, there are a couple of Banders who deserve a mention. Firstly, there is me. You all know I put in loads of work for this ORG, and this won me this award last year. If he had won this, I don't think we would have been able to fit his ego into this ORG! I personally would like to thank Footman for all his hard work in setting up the Raw Recruit process, and starting its success. I would also like to thank Vorkia for taking over the ORG Game as Under-Commander. I know she will do a wonderful job, and the Game will flourish. Other people who got mentions include Cadsuane, Froix, K'Jar, Kristine, Sheliara, Taymist and Woolhead. However, there was a clear winner. He has done a lot for this ORG this year. When I have been away, he has lead from the front, and has done a fantastic job. He has been someone who has suggested much to me when he has seen a problem in the Band, and he always has a list of solutions to fix this flaw. He has taken over what Footman started, and under his leadership and his team, the Raw Recruit System has become something the Band can be proud of. He has made it a system that will function when he takes leave of absences, and it will run for many years to come, I believe. He also always announces points and promotions on time, which makes all our lives easier. To sum it up, this person is a worthy winner, and a true asset to this ORG. If you haven't worked out who The Best Band Member of 2006 is, you need shooting! Therefore, The Best Band Member of 2006 is... Corki takes the last envelope, and opens it up. He looks at the name, and smiles as he announces the winner. F Horn of Valere!!!!! Loads of cheering is heard from the Band as F Horn of Valere makes his way to Corki. Corki shakes his hand, gives him his Silver Trophy, his medal and a Mug of Marshal-General's Special Battle Brew.

Once F Horn of Valere has collected his award, the crowd goes silent as the Marshal-General waves his hands.Ladies and Gentlemen of the Band of the Red Hand, thank you very much for turning up for tonight's Mattrim's award celebration, prasing everyone who has been a Band Member during the year 2006. It has been a great year, and I have had a fantastic time leading you all. It has been a special year as we have made much progress, and we will leave us with many good memories. May we take those memories forward with us in life, and remember our friends we have at the Band of the Red Hand. Even though we are now the second largest ORG, we are all very close as friends. And to me, that is the important thing - that no matter how big an ORG we get, we must all be close friends, and help each other out where necessary. Also, no matter how large we get, we must always think of ways to keep the Band fun, to keep old Members interested, to get new members to join, to be the best ORG at DM! Load cheering is heard from the assembled Band 2007 will be a better year than 2006! A much better year as we grow and get stronger, and become closer friends! A few things to finish on. Firstly, The Emperor Awards will be back at DM this year. I am really hoping we do well at them this year, showing DM what an ORG we are! Secondly, CARAI AN SHEN AN CALHAR!!! And finally, now that all the formalities are done, it is time to celebrate 2006 - the memories, the award winners and their acceptance speeches, the Members of the Band, 2007 and how it is going to be a bigger and better year! Anything and everything! So, lets celebrate as only the Band can celebrate! And there is an endless supply of Brew! And that includes M-G Brew! *grabs his Brew and makes a toast* CARAI AN SHEN AN CALHAR!!!! *downs his Brew*

*Steps up for his speech and clears his throat while unrolling a long scroll of parchment. Taking a moment he reaches into his Neverful Pocket and retrieves a pair of reading glasses. While doing so hi drops his scroll and has to bend down to retrieve it. While coming up, Footy hits his head on the bottom of the podium and knocks it over. The force of the hit knocks his glasses of and he reaches down for them while stepping forward to catch the podium before it falls onto the members of the orchastra seated in front of the stage. While stepping forward, Footy steps on his own hand and crushes the glasses. Both he and the podium fall into the percussion section of the orchastra to loud crashes and swears. Hopping back on stage like nothing had happened, and quickly staightens his tux that looks three sizes too small and has about four inches above his shoes to the bottom of his trousers. Looking about for the dropped scroll, Footy is unable to find it. Finally he stammers out*
I'd just... um... like to thank... ahhhh.... the Creator? and some other people? Ummm... thank you.
*With that Footy leaves the stage to the right, but one of the people standing on the side of the stage motion for him to exit stage left. Turning on his heel he walks towards the left and slips on the dropped scroll, flying up into the air and landing flat on his back. Getting up much slower, Footy hobbles to the side of the stage, with a hand on his lower back.*
