*is standing before the whole Band in his best dress uniform, with his armour shining brightly in the sunshine, his cloak fluttering in the wind, and Mr. Ed looking pristine*
Ladies and Gentlemen of the Band of the Red Hand, whether you are a private or a Captain-General, I am delighted to welcome you here tonight for the inaugral awards ceremony that is known as The Mattrims. Tonight, we honour those who we think have put a lot into this ORG, this community, making what the Band is today - a close-knit unit of men and women willing to stand beside next each other in a scrap, in a battle, in drinking, in being merry, in life.
Awards range from Best Trickster of the Year to Best ORG Member of the Year, from Best Gamer to Best Divisional Member. However, if you haven't won an award, do not fear! In my eyes, you all deserve awards for making the Band of the Red Hand what it is today - a very successful ORG and community within DM.
I did mention we had a special guest to give out the awards. I am most delighted to welcome The Red Avenger tonight, who has come tonight to give the winners their awards.
*loads of clapping and cheering is heard*
So, without further a-do, grab your Brews, take your seat and let us begin the awards ceremony!
The first award tonight is The Best Trickster of 2005. Many names were put forward for this, with the dynamic Cavalry duo of Razz and Canis back when we were starting out. StaffMaster was another name mentioned, after his courageous stampede through the Archers with the Horses. And our Nurse, Sheli, was mentioned, always looking out for mischief.
However, there was one name that kept appearing over and over again. One person who appeared before the Redarms more than the rest of the Band! One person who was always looking to take the prank one step further. Not being allowed to Spam, she decided to lead the Archers on a Hamming attack of the Cavalry.
So, you probably have worked out who it is, so I am pleased to announce the winner of The Best Trickster of 2005 as...

Corki waves his hands to silence the crowd.
"Ladies and Gentlemen, we have but started! Please save yourself for later on! Now, it is time to move onto The Funniest Band Member of 2005. This award goes to a Band Member who always makes you laugh when they post, whether you are happy or sad.
A bried mention will go to Cumadrin, F Horn of Valere, Leane, Sheli and Mushuganna, as they have all helped made us laugh. Also, Footman in his pink loin cloth has made us chuckle over the year. And Lazy, with his laziness and his strange pictures. A special mention to all of you.
But the winner of this award is in the Infantry division. He joined as idennis, a man who involved his real life RP into his post, and in the end, created his own style of posting that makes us all laugh. With a mixture of humour and seriousness in his posts, I am delighted to announce that, the winner of The Funniest Band Member of 2005, is none other than...
*opens envelope*
Mallett, or as he is now known, General Grawl.
*more cheering, whistling and Brew drinking is heard as The Red Avenger gives out the award*

The crowd goes silent as the Marshal-General waves his hands.
Now, ladies and gentlemen, we move swiftly into the third award, The Best Gamer of 2005. An award given to the Band Member who has fought the hardest and the fairest. A Member who is a valiant fighter, someone who shows all their skill and wits in the arena, whether they win or lose. A person who fights all the way to the end.
Before announcing the winner, a special mention must go to Magnus Canis Rufus and Mallett, who together worked hard over the summer creating the statistics, the weapons of the game, the dice roller and website for the game, making the Game what it is. Also, I cannot forget those who have taken the lessons and have stood in the arena. I would name everyone who has done so, but I would be here all evening! But, due to all these people, we are eternally grateful, as they have made the ORG Game what it is.
Now the winner. To me, the winner has done more than everything needed for this award. He has fough valiantly, in victory and in defeat. He has always come back here when he has struggled to get on. But before we had the ORG Game, the winner of this award for instrumental in creating Games for us to play. He created the Battleship tournament, Tic-Tac-Toe and Chess to name but a few. Therefore, the winner of The Best Gamer of 2005 is...

Now, ladies and gentlemen, we move onto the Divisional Winners. The winners of each division were voted by divisional members. The winner of the awards were those Members who were thought to have put a lot of effert into their division, pushing it forward, making the division what it is today.
The first division I will deal with is the Archers. A strong division, unofficially the most active division as well, many names were put forward. Cumadrin was nominated, as well as North Star, who served as Captain-General three times and who laid the foundations for the Archers today. Helike was also nominated, a Banner-Captain on many occasions, abling assisting those in charge.
But the winner of The Best Archer of 2005 is someone who has been in the Band a few months now. Someone who has risen to the rank of Lieutenant, and recently taken on the rank of Captain-General. Someone who is enthusiastic about their division, a person always looking to get new members to join. And, as Captain-General, will push the Archers forward. Therefore, the winner of The Best Archer of 2005 is...

Now, the second division is the Cavalry.
The Cavalry is unofficially the largest division in the Band of the Red Hand. They are always going on about their love of horses! They recently completed a successful stampede through the Archers division, mainly due to StaffMaster.
The Cavalry has many loveable members, ranging from StaffMaster to Sheli, from aragon to Darkstar, from Faile to Goldeneyes. Each Cavalry member is important to making the division tick.
However, for a special mention is F Horn of Valere, who has recenty taken on the Captain-Generalship of the division. He is cementing ideas founded by previous Captain-Generals, and giving plenty of work to his senior Cavalry officers. Another special mention goes to Magnus Canis Rufus, who as the first Captain-General, laid many of the foundations for the division today. He started the divisional initiation prank, which is still going strong today. He created the loyalty for the division which is still their today. A true Cavalry Member, who we all look forward to seeing back soon.
*nods of agreement are heard from the crows*
But with all his efferts in the beginning, it wasn't enough for Canis. The winner of The Best Cavalry Member of 2005 has been someone who has been with us for most of our time as an ORG. He recently revamped the Cavalry's structure, allowing the knights of the Band to roam free. He is someone who always pesters me about his points! He also goes through stages of different personalities. But, like all the rest of his division, he puts 100% in for the division, pushing it forward. Therefore, the winner of The Best Cavalry Member of 2005 is...
*opens envelope and reads off the card inside*
