Well Apparently I was volunteered to propose this and never got around to it, so I guess I better do so before I leave ;D I was thinking, as were other members of the band, that it might be a better idea to have the mattrim awards twice a year since some people might be deserving of the award *hehem* early in the year because of their actions, but later in the year their deeds might not be remembered, and/or they might not be around at said time later in the year Therefore it was proposed to me to bring it forth before this august group that we should have the mattrims twice a year...all in favor?

I agree, with the turnover rate of the band, having the Mattrims bi yearly would be a good idea. Basically I agree with what Blade says.

YES. Twice a year is better, considering the turnover! Too many worthy winners would be lost if we did it only once a year.

no as the Mattrims are supposed to co incide with the DM awards. If we give them on a 6 monthly basis then it takes out the speciality. They are supposed to be the Bnads most prestigious honour, just like the DM Org Awards are DM's best honour. I say leave it as it is. It also helps the Band celebrate the year's end.

I am not in favour of this idea. As Northie said, The Matrims are a prestigious honour, and having them twice a year, in my eyes, would degrade this honour. If you did something noteworthy during the year, it should be remembered by all, and then brought up at the end of the year when the award nominations are given.

With the turnover around here...there isn't going to be an "all" to remember anything.
I'm in favour!

im undecided, im laening towards the annual matrims both sides make a very good case so i wanna vote for annualy! as i voted earlier without hearing both sides of the argumnet just take one vote from the in favour and add it to no in favour.
I propose that in future if a poll important lik this one is to be run both side of the story should be postted before a poll, just like a political debate really

I agree with everything Peck said, I also voted without hearing both sides, and I voted bi annually.

I voted based off of how things were when we did the votes last....
when we did it, the rate of turnover made the results reflect just on three or four months at most.

*nods* I voted bi-annually and keep that view just because of the one fact that I was voted Archer of the year, when I was only in the band for two months last year.....just seems that people deserving of the awards would be remembered more if it was twice a year....and it wouldn't take away the honor of it since our turn around is so high....*shrugs* just my two cents.
Although I was very happy to get the award, don't get me wrong! ;D lol. I just think that people are forgotten after an entire year, especially since we have so many newbies that won't even know Blade in the next six months..another reason for the bi-annually. Even if all the oldbies vote for him, I'm thinking that there will be more newbies to out vote since they won't know the people that have been here the last six months....again just my two cents ;D
