Would anybody be interested in a photo manipulation game?
Basically the idea is that one person would display a picture of something. Doesn't matter what it is. And then everybody that's interested could come and take that picture and change it however they like. They can do anything, add text, draw moustaches on the people, etc. Absolutely anything you can think of and can do, would be allowed.
And of course you could post as many entries as you want.
The game would go on for a couple of weeks and then somebody else would post a different picture.
So? Would any body be interested?
Edit:
You wouldn't be expected to be talented. Absolutely anybody could participate. All you'd need is a photo editing software, anything from, Photoshop, Gimp, PaintshopPro or even MS Paint.

Sounds a great idea. Maybe this could be done during the month and the winning entry gets published in the HS?

I'm pretty sure everything that can be done in photoshop can be done in gimp as well.
^_^ But then again, I'm far from an expert. ^_^ So who knows
Anyway Yay! people responded. Ok. So would you like me to set one up for April? We'll get Corki to sticky it or whatever.

I'm in too ;D
And GIMP is a very capable programme despite the fact it is free. It is only when you get more in depth that the benefits of Photoshop become apparent.

I finally found some people that use GIMP! I really like GIMP, it's a really good program for those who can't afford Photoshop.

I recognise the enormous benefits of GIMP too - just done all my experimentation on Photoshop, and therefore know how to use it better...

I totally underused GIMP when I started using it and it wasn't until recently that I actually realised what you can create with it. The following image is one I did using GIMP from a Tutorial. The Newspaper background was a downloaded image, but the glass ball was done in GIMP

*nods* Cool Demon!
I know gimpy uses layers like PS. But does it have the same capabilities with Channels? What about Paths?

I never got too involved with that aspect before I made the switch to PS. But it has those commands. Not sure how good they are, but when you see some of the graphics people come up with it is truly impressive considering you don't have to fork out almost half a months wage to do it.
One thing I have noticed however is, using my Laptop, GIMP tended to suffer from PC epilepsy when trying to carry out certain functions on larger Images. But PS CS2 which I use now works perfectly, regardless of the size of file

Odds, GIMP does have the capabilities for Paths and Channels.
